Beachmere Area Network Group was formed in 2014, when a group of local people set out to create a group which would bring local community groups together. The group became Incorporated in 2015 and in 2017 took on a new perspective and new logo design:
“Our goal is to identify and lobby for positive community outcomes in the Beachmere area.”
Meet our BANG Committee / Management Team 2023

Di Newell (Secretary): Settled in Beachmere in the 90’s and is a keen gardener, orchid grower and business owner. Di has always been committed to community work and after a year as a BANG member, joined the Management Team from 2018.
Karen Harris (President): Is a "long term" resident of Beachmere and been part of BANG since 2014. She is an organised leader with a strong community presence through her fitness classes, volunteering for numerous projects locally and as a JP and Celebrant.
Mary Brown (Treasurer): Has lived in Beachmere since 1989, she has an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and has been a JP since 1976. Mary is also an active volunteer in other local community not-for-profits.
Christine Ellis: Chose to live a Beachmere in 2010 due to her work. She became a BANG member in 2017 giving support by attending BANG’s monthly general public meetings and joining Steering Committees for various new BANG projects. In 2019 she joined the BANG Management committee to support the existing working group.
